Richard E. Geis, in addition to turning out a prodigious output of adult novels in the 1950s and 60s, also edited such key sci-fi fanzines as PSYCHOTIC, SCIENCE FICTION REVIEW, THE ALIEN CRITIC, and his personal zine, RICHARD E. GEIS. He once wrote that he felt THE BEATNIKS was among the better books he had written.
